What is Shortlist?
A virtual recruiter for a tighter Australian job hunt. It runs a kickoff, writes a master CV, scores roles, drafts a pack for each job, and can fill Seek forms in your Chrome. You review. You submit.
Is this an auto-apply spray gun?
No. Applying to a hundred weak roles is the failure mode. Shortlist is meant to raise interview rate per application, not volume.
Which job boards does it use?
Australia first. Hunt and fill run on Seek in your already-open Chrome. Adzuna AU can suggest extra roles. We do not scrape Seek or LinkedIn on a server.
Does it submit applications for me?
Not unless you later opt in, a few at a time, after the pack was approved on the desk. While we test, fill always pauses before submit. You hit the button.
What about LinkedIn Easy Apply?
Out of scope. LinkedIn is a place you work in yourself. Shortlist will not drive your LinkedIn session.
What if the apply button goes to Workday or Greenhouse?
Shortlist pauses and hands off. External ATS forms are yours to finish. The pack (CV, letter, answers) stays on the desk.
Do I need a Chrome extension?
Yes, for hunt and fill on Seek. After you sign in, open Extension, download the zip, unzip it, and Load unpacked in chrome://extensions. Packs, kickoff, and the tracker work in the browser without it.
Why does a tailored pack still look like my master CV?
Packs are snapshots. The master CV is the source of truth. Refresh pack on a role after you edit the master. Shortlist must not inflate credit or rewrite who did the work.
Where does my data live?
In your Shortlist account (profile, CV, roles). Hunt and fill use your Chrome session on Seek. See Privacy for the stub we will keep honest as the product grows.
